DNS: Slave Server Zone Hosting
We will gladly and freely allow the use of our name servers as secondary or slave servers for your domains. Although, some limitations do apply such as, but not limited to; server utilization, bandwidth consumption and of course approval from our administration team. For further information or to inquire about using our DNS services, please send an email to Luke@DigitalEnigma.net.
FTP: File Server Mirroring
We currently have non-official mirrors for; www.Kernel.org, www.Ubuntu.com & www.VideoLan.org. They are "non-official" in part to the bandwidth limitations we have. However, all mirrors are complete and update every six hours at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 & 18:00 and provide some level of support during a major release when the "main" servers are under heavy load. Feel free to check them out and use them at your discretion. See the "mirrors" button to your left.
JBX: Digital Music Streaming
Ahh yes, the latest feature. Although not available for the public, any user of DigitalEnigma Networks, LLC gets a free "jukebox" along with their email account and website. Users have the ability to upload their (legal) music to our servers in MP3 format and stream it remotely from anywhere in the world! This feature requires a login and is also protected via SSL for secure connections. Current users, if you would like more information on how to take advantage of this service, please send an email to Luke@DigitalEnigma.net.
NTP: Open Access Time Servers
Our stratum level 2 time servers, which are located in Michigan, are open access for public use and are also pool members. You can check there stats and scores here; Castor & Pollux. To use these servers, simply set you PC to ntp.digitalenigma.net and the round robin DNS will select one of the two servers for you. This provides a level of redundancy should we have to take a server down. Also, we are happy to announce in early 2009 we are planning on adding GPS locators to each server and bring them up to stratum level 1 servers using GPS as their atomic clock.
WWW: Restricted Website Hosting
Lastly, we support web hosting as well. The rules here are similar to the DNS hosting as it requires administrator approval. Right now, we host websites mainly for friends and family. We can also "park" your domain name for you if you plan on setting up a website and would like a redirection from port 80 to a non-standard port. Again, for further information, send all inquires to Luke@DigitalEnigma.net.
